The Macy’s Candy Window unveiling is a holiday event that Macy’s department store and Make-A-Wish partner on. As part of this campaign, I assisted in the planning process. I started by preparing a list of wish kids with certain age and location demographics as well as reading their bios. After narrowing it down to six I contacted the families and we remained in touch over the next two months as plans were made.
The planning process was successful, because clear communication was maintained between Make-A-Wish and the families, questions were answered in a timely manner, and the overall tone from the families was excitement about the event.
